Bring your friends and have some fun with natural yard care
Join us for a natural yard care "Garden Party" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Wapato Park Bathhouse, 6802 S. Sheridan, Tacoma. Learn tips and tricks from natural yard care guru Geoff Rinehart, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, and EnviroChallenger educator John Inch, City of Tacoma.
Topics covered at the Garden Party will include building healthy soil, smart watering techniques, garden pest management, natural lawn care and composting.

This event is part of a series of in-home garden parties for Tacoma residents offered by the City of Tacoma Surface Water Utility and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, beginning in the Wapato watershed area. This targeted outreach is meant to help reduce stormwater pollution by showing residents how easy it is to incorporate natural yard care practices into their landscaping, which helps to soak in and filter stormwater.

Please RSVP to this event by calling (253) 573-2506 or e-mailing sarah.tolle@cityoftacoma.orgmailto:sarah.tolle@cityoftacoma.org. All party goers who RSVP will receive free samples of organic fertilizer or garden compost to try in their own yards.
