Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsWhat is a "Gold Flag" looper? My wife and I did the LOOP in 1990 in? 23' Westerly Nomad auxiliary sailboat, half a decade before the Stobs did it and long before the AGLCA existed. No one greeted us with a gold flag when we returned.

No one greets you with a gold flag today.
It is defined as someone who has completed the Loop and paid AGLCA $39 to
get the flag.
" The Gold Burgee is the "Gold Standard" and is reserved for members who
have completed the Great Loop Cruise."
Not my $39.
