EPIC2017 Montréal, 22–25 October 2017

The premiere international gathering on ethnography in business explores
Perspectives—vantage points, hybridity & subversion in ethnographic
practice. Join us!

Call for Participation:

The EPIC2017 theme Perspectives examines the possibilities of vantage
points for achieving excellence in ethnographic practices. The conference
will reflect on the implications of widening or narrowing scope, shifting
positions, finding muses elsewhere, forming hybridities, or subverting
norms to create value, solve problems, achieve goals and meet challenges
that we face as individuals, businesses and world citizens.

We invite proposals for Papers
https://2017.epicpeople.org/submit/#paper-proposals, Case Studies
https://2017.epicpeople.org/submit/#case-study-proposals, PechaKucha
https://2017.epicpeople.org/submit/#pechakucha-proposals, and Film/Animation
https://2017.epicpeople.org/submit/#film-animation-proposalspresentations
that embody the spirit of Perspectives. Contributions should draw on
theoretical advances in social science research (or other
ethnography-informed disciplines), coupled with applied best practices from
professional fields, to strike new directions for creating and implementing
knowledge and affecting change.

We encourage contributions from any of the variety of fields that
create/apply ethnography, including: the social sciences & humanities,
business strategy, marketing, product management, design, UX/usability,
AGILE/Lean, HCI/CSCW, informatics, communications, policy, education,
government, defense, international development, data science, leadership,
organizational design, change management, technology, software engineering,
healthcare and more.
