As part of our council-initiated town audit, the auditor’s office has requested a copy of the town formation documents that reflect the form of government for our municipality. We lost our original city hall and its historic documents in a fire a couple of decades ago, so do not have the originals. Our county courthouse has not been able to locate formation documents and the Secretary of State’s office says they don’t have them. Any suggestions on where we would find such documents? Sharla
