Seattle artist Robert L. Horton explores the rich history of black Americans through art. He elevates our thinking about historical black figures, events and ideologies of black cultures in America through celebration within his large-scale designs, using stylized shape and bold and energetic color.  Horton is strongly influenced by the characteristics of the great artist Jacob Lawrence. Horton focuses on the powerful narratives of black Americans cultures to celebrate what is Black & Bold.
