Hey guys,

Brad, K9MHZ from Indy checking in.  A little far to participate
unfortunately, but do enjoy your mailings and reading what the group is
doing.

Our daughter (age 9) plays on an FC team locally, so we do some mild
traveling during soccer seasons.  This Fall's big tournament was played
at the VOA Park.  What a thrill to go there.  I like how they've
repurposed the grounds, but have kept the history alive.  The last game
was literally right next to the transmitter/museum building.  Walked
over and checked out the wood antenna switching structure.  Noticed a
fair number of concrete piles (?) dispersed through the facility.
Figured those were old support structures for the antenna supports,
etc.  Of course right down the street from the great WLW antenna.

Anyway, thanks for bringing up a bit of memory from a few months ago.
Another one of those ironic confluences of several aspects of a person's
life happening at the same time and place.

Best,
Brad, K9MHZ

Hi Brad...
Thanks for checking in! It's always nice to hear that someone is following our antics.
Hope you can make it over someday for a meeting or the picnic.
