We did the loop twice, ending 5years ago. We anchored only when we had to, and stayed for several weeks each year during the winter  in places like Jacksonville FL or Panama City. The boat was our only home, and our total cost for living plus boating was about 72k per year. We burned 3 gph, 40 foot boat. Jake
