Greetings All: The County is closing a road on a section line. This road is a path to at least two (2) municipalities and Council has directed me to appear at the meeting of the County Commissioners. I am aware of 19 O.S. Sections 339(A)(3) and 628. I am also aware of the procedure which must be followed under 69 O.S. Sec. 646. What is unclear is, if the closure is pursuant to Resolution of the County Commissioners rather than Petition by Freeholders, must the statutory process be followed? Any information or counsel on this general and specific matter would be appreciated. Thank you all.
