Observers:

Visitors:
Thanks to Chris B for hanging in today to see what there was to count.
Hopefully, there'll be more birds coming down the pipe by the end of the
week.

Weather:
Temps ranged from 5C-6C. Winds were modest from the NE, then N. Cloud cover
was 100%

Raptor Observations:
Despite favourable winds, there wasn’t much left in the pipe after a
great weekend: Just 9 raptors over 5 hours.

Non-raptor Observations:
Non-raptors were much more numerous, and included: Canada Goose, American
Crow, Blue Jay, American Goldfinch, European Starling, Red-winged
Blackbird, Rusty Blackbird, Common Grackle, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy
Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Black-capped Chickadee,
White-throated Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Carolina Wren,
Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Brown Creeper, Purple Finch, Pine Siskin, Dark-eyed
Junco, American Robin, Hermit Thrush, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Northern
Cardinal, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and American Pipit, Mourning Dove, Cedar
Waxwing, Tundra Swan, Evening Grosbeak (another 75 or so), and American
Woodcock (perhaps the same bird from the day before... flushed from the
side of the road).

Predictions:
They're forecasting moderate W winds for Tuesday which won't help with the
migration through the hawk watch area.
