Thanks for the update on Buzzards Bay, Russell.

What's the difference between the former 33 and the current 34 and how
does that justify the price tag of $405,000?

I'm not being argumentative, only looking for information.

Dear Powercat Afficianados,

We at Multihull Development, Inc. are flattered at that our Buzzards Bay cats have been mentioned. I did a quick scan and saw that there were some Q's. We build our vessels in house USA. Our moldings are sub-contracted to a great company (USA) we are proud to work with. We receive high quality advanced composite (resin infused hulls, all other parts "bagged", 100% VE resin, light stiff, and STRONG) and we put them together. For all you folks that know boat building, you can understand when we say that we still build the majority of the boat. The man-hours involved in just moulding a part is far less than the finish, cabinetry, systems, and getting it all right. Anyway, it seems that allot of folks are coming and going these days in this business, but we've always been here, always had boats being built and launching, and taking care of customers. We certainly do things on a smaller scale, but I'll put our boats up against anything out there. We invite George for a sea-trial !
on our new Buzzards Bay 34. I guarantee it will knock your socks off. We've got a big update to our website coming, with video. A sneak peak at the new Buzzards Bay 34 can be seen by going to http://www.yachtworld.com/multihulldevelopment/

I apologize for being out of the mainstream press for too long. With the development and successful launch of the new Buzzards Bay 34, this is changing. Five magazines have recently tested. We'll see if they print what they're saying during the trial. We are trying to open the eyes of the "powers that be" in the mainstream boating press to what a good powercat can offer; High cruise speeds, high efficiency, lots of room, and great ride. Basically having your cake and eating it too. Something, by design, the mono's just can't offer.

We would like to offer up what we have learned in the engineering and design of powercats to your group. We, as manufacturers and designers gain much by being involved with on-line discussion groups like this, so if we can return the favor it would be and honor. Thanks again for mentioning our boats. Please feel free to call me directly or e-mail.

Robert Beebe  wrote the definitive book on what makes a good cruising boat
of the mono hull catagory. It delves into the number crunching involved  by
the designer (naval architect ) and  provides documented real world  data.

Who has written the equivalent  for power cats?
