Tuesday, September 22, 2009, noon - 1:30 pm

SEATTLE - Artists, writers, and musicians face contract issues every day, so understanding the fundamentals is essential.  These issues come up when selling or licensing a work, signing a lease, or collaborating with other artists, writers, and musicians.  Don't miss this down-to-earth presentation by attorney Rebekah O'Hara as she explains the ins and outs of contracts frequently encountered by those in the arts.  In addition to basic contract principles such as the requirements for a legally binding contract, common contract terms, and what to do when a contract is breached, this presentation will explain unique issues that can arise in arts related contracts.  This is a must attend presentation for artists, writers, and musicians, as well as attorneys who advise clients in the arts.
