CCWC Members and Friends,
You're invited to join us in learning more about our natural environment, our water resources and what we can do to protect them! Upcoming events include:
Superfund Program Open House at Fort Lewis - Thursday, 7/16, 6-8 p.m. at the Guest House Inn and Suites in Dupont.
Everyone is invited to learn about the status of the Superfund Program on the Post as they near the end of over two decades of environmental cleanup. Contact Jim Gillie at 253-966-1774 for more information.
BIBI Training - Thursday, 7/30, 9-11 a.m. at Spanaway Park.
If you're interested in helping out with Pierce County's aquatic bug sampling for this year, plan to attend this meeting and get all trained up! It's a fun way to get out in the streams and help us learn more about our watershed's health. Please RSVP to me if you wish to attend: mpaulso@co.pierce.wa.usmailto:mpaulso@co.pierce.wa.us or 253.798.4686.
"It's Your Watershed" Film - Through 8/30 on CRCC-TV 22
Tune in to CRCC-TV 22 on Mondays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 a.m. or Saturdays at 5 p.m. to see the fruits of our Small Grants Program labor! Thanks to Marc Pease at Rainier Communications for pulling this together, as well as to Mike, Ione, Don, Ray and Dan for starring on camera. Play times run through August 30th.
Watershed Movie Night - Thursday, 8/20, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Join us and the KGI Watershed Council as we present a fun, free evening at the Pierce County Environmental Services Building (9850 64th St. W., University Place). Come for theater popcorn, great company and a good film about the importance of protecting our water resources.
