Replacement Control Switches for Bow Thruster

Hi All,

I have a Side-Power 24V bow thruster.  Simply put, these control switches
are lousy.  The fly bridge unit dies after a year exposed to the weather.
The PH does better (it's given me four years of service).  They are closed
systems, no cleaning of contacts or lubrication.

Has anyone tried to use another brand control switch with a bow thruster OR
is there a GENERIC switch that would work?  After all it's just
On/Off/Left/Right, right?

Please let me know ASAP.  Thanks.

Jim

Mine is 15 years old and going strong.  My boat being a hardtop pilot has
not exposed controls.  Whatever you get for the flying bridge, be sure to
keep it well covered.  I do not know what would work there, but it's a
pretty simple arrangement of a basic on-off-on type switch.

Jim remove the switch and source the contacts individually there is nothing special about them they are generic if the aesthetics are still good on the outside the contacts are replaceable
