Vuecrest Halloween Protocol On October 31st Vuecrest will be invaded by all sorts of fasinating creatures. We are a popular Halloween neighborhood so be ready to entertain a sizeable group of “trick or treaters”. We’re talking the super-sized 200 piece candy selection! As always the safety of these little ones is an important consideration so please allow your guests to park in your driveway or off-site and not on the street which may otherwise expose walkers to traffic. Make a Difference As we plan for the Community Association Annual Meeting on November 10th we’re looking for a few neighbors to run for upcoming vacancies on the Vuecrest HOA Board as terms are completed this year. We also have potential slots for Committee Chairs. The effort involved in these positions is generally 3 hours for our monthly meeting and 2-3 hours per month answering emails, viewing properties, etc. If you are dedicated to the welfare of your community (as a whole) and your neighbors (as individuals), this may be a good place for you. You will be surrounded by HOA veterans who will teach you the ropes. Please contact directors@vuecrest.net <mailto:directors@vuecrest.net> with your questions and willingness to serve. Also, feel free to submit the name of a community member who you feel might be a good candidate who will be contacted to discuss the details of the opportunity. We look forward to working with you! What Are Vuecrest Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&R’s)? CC&Rs are legal terms that refer to rules of a certain planned community that you must live by to reside in that community. They are the rules and property limitations of a planned community neighborhood. They are typically imposed by builders, developers, property owners, neighborhood associations or, in most cases and ours, the HOA (Homeowners Association). They are designed to protect property values in the community and offer definable guidelines. In addition, to helping maintain the property values in the community, they are also imposed to help protect against annoyances that would impede the quality of life for other residents in the community. CC&Rs are occasionally referred to as “bylaws” or Protective Restrictions. When you purchased your home, you signed a document stating that you read the CC&Rs and agree to uphold them. A Declaration of CC&R is the legal document that lists all rules and guidelines for the community that you must agree to live by in exchange for living there. CC&Rs are legal, binding documents.
