Crosswater, a Crosswater 49, has arrived in Bermuda after a passage
of 2 days 3 hours 40 minutes from Hampton, Virginia, as part of West
Marine TrawlerTrek.

Crosswater averaged 12.4 knots for the 640-nautical-mile passage. For more, go

By the by, the production-boat speed record from Liberty Landing, New
Jersey, to St. Georges, Bermuda, was set in 2002 by a Renaissance
Marine Prowler 306. The 30-foot open power cat took only 22 hours 23
minutes to make the 690-nautical-mile run, averaging 30.9 knots.
