I am Dan Shank, presently in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Making my way down through Costa Rica and on to Panama over the next 3-4 weeks. My traveling companion is Janet. I recently earned my Coast Guard Certification as a captain up to 50 ton thru the Maritime Institute in San Diego. If anyone along the Costa Rican or Pamama coasts is planning a trip thru the canal soon and needs line handlers to assist in return for passage either to Balize or near the Domincan Republic (doesn't matter to us as we have no set agenda) we are available.
