Yesterday evening at the rear of the YMCA, 100+ fish crows. Initially all very concentrated on a small patch of grass, then dispersed to surrounding trees/buildings.

Mystic puts me in mind of the CT River. Have the tree swallows begun to swarm?

The swallows started gathering in the evening several weeks ago. Initially they were south of the Old Lyme Draw (RR). Recently they have moved back to Goose Island. Sunday nights show was spectacular. We estimated close to one million birds. It was awesome!

We had the MOST fantastic swallow cruise with CT Audubon on Sunday evening - rising full moon, estimated 700,000 swallows, clear murmurations.  I'd attach photos if I could - but look at my FB page. I'll post to Connecticut birds too.  Wow wow wow
