Group,
Can a municipality request that a camper trailer park keep the identifies of its "residents" handy for authorities or if the lots are numbered, is that sufficient. To explain, cops are called to trailer park for an "emergency" but all they have to go on is the lot number they were given. Thereafter, the come to the Town and ask that an ordinance be passed that would cause the trailer park owner to provide the names of the residents to the authorities. I think this is a lazy overreach by law enforcement to begin, but have coupe of board members who are die hard back the blue types and want to do whatever the cops request. Any thoughts?
