Legrace - off-loaded in Baltimore

Hello All,

Well we finally made it to this side of the pond!!  Legrace was off loaded
last Thursday at Baltimore's Canton Terminal. We spent Friday at a relatives
dock in Queenstown getting a bit organized then headed back across the
Chesapeake to Herrington Harbor South on Saturday. Had a bit of trouble
Saturday morning with spray freezing on the windows - stopped in Kent
Narrows for an hour or so until the sun warmed things up.

This morning we ran down the bay to Solomons MD and beat the snow by an
hour. It looks like we will sit here in Calvert Marina until Wednesday when
I hope the weather will improve.

The Atlantic crossing by freighter from Antwerp, Belgium to Baltimore (with
a stop in Rauma Finland) was fabulous. The crew of MV Sampogracht was super,
what an interesting experience - after flying back & forth across the
Atlantic so many times, this was a really special way to come back to the
US!

Now that we have our Verizon internet service going, I hope to post photos
of Legrace being loaded on Sampogracht, etc., in the next couple of days.

To all the folks who have been emailing us over the last several months, if
you are in the vicinity it would be great to meet up.

I know it is late in the season and we are probably the "tail end Charlie"
for heading south on the ICW but if there are any others out there heading
south from the Chesapeake please speak up!
