A member has a question about the relationship between the County and local non-profit rescue squads where state law requires the County to provide EMS (Ambulance/First Responder Services). Specifically they are wondering what counties are doing to provide oversight to rescue squads in these circumstances - is there any oversight as to proper corporate structure, finances, collections, HR issues - or do you not provide that oversight as long as medical services are being overseen and appear adequate?
