The Project on Computational Propaganda at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to work on bot detection tools.
The researcher will be at the centre of an leading international network of social and computer scientists working on political bots, algorithms, and social control. There will be significant opportunity to collaborate with the OII’s other data scientists, researchers, and graduate students.
The position is suited to candidates who have recently completed a doctorate in computer science or a relevant field, and is available immediately for a fixed-term of 18 months, with possibility of renewal thereafter, for up to 36 months. The deadline for applications is 12.00 GMT on 21 September 2017. Interviews for those short-listed are currently planned to take place on the week commencing 10 October 2017.
