Here are a few more data points for what they are worth. I've sailed
to Bermuda 6 times, twice on a relatively light 41 footer, 4 times on
heavier boats in the 48 to 55 foot range. All were good seaworthy
boats that could handle rough conditions but the comfort factor is
like night and day between the 41 footer and the larger ones.
John, knowing something about your boat, I doubt that you could find
something more comfortable or seaworthy without going to at least 70
or 80 feet, too big for my kind of cruising but fine for some folks.
