I think I said something about a decent size line, not a 1/2 inch string. Try
getting your 1 inch anchor rode wrapped up in the prop and see if this
slicer/dicer does the job. The problem is, you get lots of line gathered up
befor it comes tight and the cutter never gets the chance to cut. My trawler
has "spurs" on it, and yes they do a good job on the little stuff, but a big
line, like a left out bouy tag line (at least 1&1/2 inch poly) a hundred feet
long and they don't stand a chance. In shore crab pots and small ropes seem to
be there purpose, and they're good for that, but I think they cause more drag
