From this week's "Monday Morning Memo" (published by the Highland
county ARC)
*OH WHAT A NIGHT!—*The /Morehead ARS/ is singing that song and not the
Four Seasons because they really did have quite an unusual evening of
testing.According to Greg Taylor, KY4OD, and Brent Wells, N4BDW, the
session was held at the Morehead State University Space and Science
Center because those students in the program are required to obtain
their Tech licenses. In fact, passing the test earns a student a whole
grade level for the seminar!Approximately 60 elements were given with 25
students passing the Tech and one person earning their General
license. We salute professors Jeff Kruth (WA8ZKR) and Bob Kroll (N3QED)
for introducing ham radio into the program as well as the members of the
/Morehead ARS/ and /Greater Mason CARA/ who joined efforts to
conduct the exam session.
