Hello, I am the head of the planning committee for the Tacoma Halloween Parade this year and I wanted to know if any artists or arts volunteers would like to participate in the parade. The parade will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30th at 5:30-7:30 along S Washington St. Our route will start at 50th and S Washington St and end at 56th and S Washington St. We are allowing floats with advertising but they cannot be motorized or have any fire/flames due to the risk of liability. You could even just have a few members from Tacoma Arts walk with a sign or coordinate a dance or performance routine. This would a great way to represent Tacoma Arts and represent your community with other participants. The registration fee for businesses/organizations is $50, $30 for groups of 4+, and $15 for individuals. The fee will include a free Tacoma Halloween Parade Inaugural Year t-shirts and a discount drink ticket to use at the parade after-party event at Kult Mead located at 5011 S Washington St, Tacoma, WA 98409. We will be sending out flyers about the event soon! This year will kick off a new, annual Tacoma tradition that will hopefully grow each year. I look forward to hearing from you, Jordan K
