Message from Chartwell in Malaysia: I am finally ready to leave Langkawi for Durban. Delays were not due to the boat but to shoreside activities. We have loaded 21,000 litres of fuel and expect to make the trip with one stop at Salomon Island in the Chagos group. We may be one of the last cruising boats to stop there as the British Government has come out with some very strict & expensive regulations governing the Islands as of 1 January, 2007. These are remote Islands with nothing available; no people, nothing. Except for Diego Garcia which is strictly off-limits. I will write from Durban.
