Ann Prete, Debris does tend to collect around locks, though it seldom gets that bad. Usually there is none at all. This is definitely not typical. Spring rains do flood creeks and then the creeks spew debris into the canal and it does take a few days for it to go away. Still, this particular lock operator should be flogged. Just my opinion.
