Yay, it's getting slightly cooler and our side gate is open, so let's get
out and celebrate!

This year, we are looking into holding block parties.  Not just one
central party but one on each block.  Think of it as a progressive party,
where you start at one end of the neighborhood and continue walking until
you've met everyone outside.

I understand some streets are long but that means they can have 2.  Here,
on April Dawn, The Cooper's have graciously volunteered to have their
driveway as our party hub.  Randy and his band, The Cabana Boys, will be
playing live music.  The fire pit will be lit roasting hotdogs and we will
set up lots of chairs for y'all to stop by.  Of course, we'll have lots of
beverages, too.  Now not every block has to have a band.  Your block party
can have yard games and a blender, or a toasty fire pit, a pumpkin carving
station, water balloons, etc.  Whatever your group can think of to draw
folks over to visit.

Now all this sounds great only if we get lots of folks to come out and get
involved.
We have lots of new neighbors we have yet to meet.  I'd like to
begin by identifying a representative for each block to make communications
easier.

Sign up for your block party and we'll organize this idea from this list.
