Working on a tiny scale — ranging in size from an index card to a mini
tablet — Massey synthesizes big questions about how to be present in a busy
world and the role of art in healing.
“After a series of personal challenges, “I began stitching as a form of
personal meditation,” she says. “I began to stitch to become quiet and
present ... to listen to myself ... to feel. I stitched to relearn how to
put one foot in front of the other ... to become whole. I continue to
