If you are an attorney who represents a city or town in the historical boundaries of the Cherokee Nation, I wanted to let you know that the Owasso Police Department is coordinating a meeting for Thursday, September 24th with presentations to be made by Cherokee Nation Marshal Shannon Buhl, Cherokee Nation Attorney General Sara Hill, and Northern District AUSA Shannon Cozzonni. The meeting will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Tulsa Tech - Owasso Campus, in the Post Oak Conference Room. The Owasso Campus of Tulsa Tech is located at 10800 North 140th East Avenue. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Owasso Police Department is asking that the meeting be restricted to police department agency heads, deputies, and command staff personnel related to investigations and patrol, as well as city or town attorneys and prosecutors.
