Subject: [mvus-list] beacon report
Good morning,
The 1296 beacon is arriving here somewhat weakly. It is Q3-Q4 copy on my K2 IF radio used with the DEMI transverter. It showed 8-10 dB out of the noise on my SDR-14 receiver and wasn’t quite as readable as it was on the K2. As of this time it has faded from copy strength, but I still see the signal on the SDR.
This is more typical. Most of the time I hear it, it is about this strength. When the band is enhanced, it roars in here at S-9 and shows 25 dB above the noise or more.
My grid finder program shows the path length to be 121 miles.
73,
Dave, K4TO
