All,

I have a city that would like to hire some temporary workers/contract labor for the summer. They are citizens that will help spruce up the town, do some painting, etc. Does anyone have a contract they would be willing to share with me?

I appreciate your help.

Lucas

I really doubt these workers can be treated as contract laborers rather than employees.  And I don't think I would advise my clients to attempt to treat them as contractors, as it's important that they be covered by workers' comp insurance and protected by the GTCA.

That being said, if my client was insistent on treating them as contractors, I would prepare a per project contract that requires the workers to supply all tools and materials (and compensation sufficient to cover those expenses).

Hope that is helpful.
