For anyone considering a new medium-size power cat, keep an eye on the
website of Maine Cats www.mecat.com. The owner, Dick Vermuelen is developing
a new 36-foot power cat, designed for a couple to go cruising in the
islands for long stretches.
Here's the latest word from Dick Vermeulen at Maine Cat:
Preliminary drawings are complete and we have a weights study which
has given us our LCG. The hull lines will be faired and hydrostatics
completed in the next two weeks. We hope to start construction July
10th and have her available for sea trials in October.
