Report Back on the Vuecrest Disaster Readiness Meeting
In a nutshell, “mapping your neighborhood” is putting together a readiness plan with a group of your neighbors (maybe street by street or a portion of a street) to survive and share the burden of an emergency situation. We were encouraged to follow easy step by step instructions on how to prepare. Thank you, Eileen, Jennifer and Dana for all your efforts and contributions to this meeting with Eli Johnson from the Bellevue Fire Department and Keith Oratz from Prepare Smart. Contact emergencypreparation@vuecrest.net mailto:emergencypreparation@vuecrest.net for more information and/or help getting started.

Report Back on Halloween Trick or Treats
It was a beautiful, crisp autumn evening with a Waxing Gibbous moon just three days shy of full. The trick or treaters started knocking on our door shortly after a 5:51P sunset and quickly fizzled out at 8P. We lost count after 200, and made a “note to self” to stock more candy next year since we were giving away extra for our favorite costumes. We noticed that most of the trick or treaters were accompanied by parents and responsible adults. Please report to blockwatch@vuecrest.net mailto:blockwtch@vuecrest.net if you experienced any less than festive activities.

Holiday Lighting at the Park Road Entrance
We hope you noticed and are enjoying the holiday lighting on Park Road. This is just one of the many resident benefits coordinated by your HOA board.

Sumiyoshi/Continental Property Project Update
Here is the November construction schedule for the 24-unit five story rental apartment complex at our east entrance (the northeast corner of 10th and 100th). The 137-unit apartment building will have two levels of underground parking.

The building's roof is still currently being installed and should be completed by the end of the month. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Sprinkler contractor's rough-in work is proceeding to the 5th floor. Siding is being

installed on the North and East elevations. Brick is currently being installed on the West elevation.

Bellevue Utility Project

Reported by Michael May-Bellevue Utilities Department

Bellevue Utilities is replacing aging pipes in Vuecrest. The majority of them are sewer but some water main is being replaced while we have the opportunity with streets opened up.

3600 feet of ewer main is being replaced
230 feet of water main is being replaced
Here are the general locations of our work: Hilltop Road, Evergreen Drive, NE 8th Street, Belfair Road, Vineyard Crest, Sunset Way, 92nd Ave NE, and Belfair Lane.

Work will end in March 2018. As always, sometimes we encounter different conditions when we dig pipes up. This could affect the timeline, either shortening or lengthening.

If you have individual questions or concerns.  Your go-to supervisor at Bellevue Utilities is

Stephen Noeske  SNoeske@bellevuewa.gov mailto:SNoeke@bellevuewa.gov.  425.452.5271

Corrections
