When we lived and boated in Florida, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, we lived and boated in Florida,  I used a couple of small 1”diameter pool chlorine tabs in the raw water strainer ahead the air conditioner.  This really helped keep the air conditioner lines clean.  I would caution about getting too enthusiastic about this kind of treatment for the toilet because the chlorine will be pretty hard on the rubber gaskets.  But if it really bothers you, it might be a short term option.

Or,

Buy the pool chlorine in granular form, and fill a a jar that is wider than
it is tall with the granular, punch two or 4 holes in the top and depending
on the holes and the amount you pour in, you have a slow release system for
months.

Keep a spare jar on hand and when the old one is finished,  just repeat.
