Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsI recently purchased a Used 2008 Bayliner Discovery 246 cruiser and Trailer
for $42,000.
I have to admit, I had some reservations about buying a Bayliner, but I
have found this little 25 ft. Cruiser has all you need to "Trailer Trawler"
Quite comfortable.
This well designed and thought out 6,250 lb boat, powered by a dual prop
250 hp Merc cruiser, will get 3 mpg at 22 mph! It has all the comforts of
home, shower, galley, dinette, sleeping v berth, head shower, AC with heat, and
with an 8 ft 6 inch beam , an incredible amount of room and storage!
For those of you looking for a trailerable cruiser, I can recommend this
well thought out little boat for looping, weekending, or just a Sunday
Cruise.
Towing I get 8.5 mpg with my Titan v8 at 60 mph.

And for those interested, I am still keeping the 38 Marine Trader.
See you in Paradise!
