City of Stillwater - Position as Assistant City Attorney

The City of Stillwater is recruiting an Assistant City Attorney.  I am attaching a link to the City’s webpage that contains the job description and application process.  The position has a closing date of April 11th.  If you are interested, I would encourage you to apply.  If you know of a good candidate, please encourage them to apply.  Information provided by the Human Resources Department regarding the position is as follows:

Assistant City Attorney: Provides wide-ranging services in connection with providing legal services and guidance to the City, its officers, departments, committees, boards, and trusts. The Assistant City Attorney will be assigned work in any of several areas of the legal department to include conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, drafting and reviewing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other documents; and performing other related assigned duties. Preferred applicants will have experience in providing legal advice and/or reviewing municipal legal issues related to planning (zoning, map amendments, specific use permits, annexation, permitting, variances and/or exceptions).  Requirements: Degree from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Oklahoma. Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 DOQ, plus comprehensive benefits package. A cover letter, resume and completed City of Stillwater application are required for consideration. Closing date: 4/11/22
