PDQ has just posted some pretty pics of  their new Powercat 41 making her way
south from Canada to the  Chesapeake - headed for her formal debut at the
Stuart (Florida)  Trawlerfest in January.  The new photos can be seen at:
http://pdqyachts.com/power/41Journey/index.htm.  They have also posted some very
sharp  virtual tours of the 41's saloon, galley and master cabin
(http://pdqyachts.com/power/41galleryPan.htm).  There is also page
(http://pdqyachts.com/power/pdf/PDQ41triplog.pdf) showing performance on  hull #1.  Apparently she's
comfortable cruising at 18 knots at  3000 rpm with a fuel burn of about 10 gal/hr

  • and she has a top speed  of over 24 knots.
You got to hand it to these  folks, their online documentation is unsurpassed.

I gotta say, looking at all those photos of  the 41, the 34 is starting to
look a bit like the little teenage  sister!  The 41 has a brawny, grown-up look.
I could get used to  it - pretty quickly!

Thanks for the update, Henry.

In a recent newsletter from PDQ, I see the following:

PDQ 4101 Havin' Fun is headed to Stuart and will arrive within the
next week where the boat will stay for up to 2 weeks. Contact our
Florida dealers Dick and Carol Tuschick at Rhumb Line Yacht Sales to
find out how you can get onboard Havin' Fun. Phone toll-free at
1.866.520.7597, email at
mailto:RLYS@rhumblineyachtsales.comRLYS@rhumblineyachtsales.com,
or visit the Rhumb Line Yacht Sales website at:
http://www.mymailout.com/MyMailout/Redirect.aspx?u=11788&q=22639550&lm=2891855&r=36019&qz=31d7231c5eb628a55fdf421105000a58www.rhumblineyachtsales.com

Do we have two or three volunteers to take the new PDQ 41 for a sea
trail in Florida to provide a report of impressions to the List as
well as the new site?

I know the Tuschicks and hopefully could organize a tour of the boat
and sea trial for us.

If anyone is interested in serving as the List's eyes and ears, let
me know, and I'll see what I can organize with PDQ and the Tuschicks.

If we can pull something this off with the PDQ 41, perhaps we could
sea trial and report on other power cats, too.
