Hi,

I managed to crash openscad trying to surface  a large messed up png.
When I run openscad again, it opens to a blank window. I have another
older version on my backup PC, and the exe, if copied over to this pc,
runs, but my font settings, etc. are gone. I've just installed the 7/10
nightly build (windows 64), and that opens to the blank window also.
There is an scad.ini file which if renamed/not used, still gives the
white window. (but in the old backup folder, there is no ini. ) Do i
need to completely uninstall openscad, and reinstall, or it there some
other ini. type file lurking around (I'm not sure if an ini. is even
required, but there must be something that sets up the layout)?

Best wishes,

Ray

So, don't run the app directly, instead try double-clicking on an openscad
file that is known-good (and simple, preferably).  That should bypass the
cache and get you back.  A stab in the dark...

Hello openscad experts

in 2016 I designed an parametrical mouthpiece design for clarinet and
saxophone.
It is a very complex mathematical object (at least for me ;-) ).
For this design I used the excellent libraries sweep.scad and skin.scad.

When I look in the set of librarieson openscad.org I do not find sweep
and skin anymore.

  • Do I need to update my design?
  • If yes what libraries doe I need?

Is that true or can I still use sweep and skin.

kind regards
Johan Jonker
