Arctic Terns Bantam Lake

There are 26 Arctic Terns, yes 26, yes Arctic, on Bantam Lake, Litchfield/ Morris. Photos were taken.

Actually Fran Zygmont and I both counted 27 ARTIC TERNS on Bantam Lake. They are still flying around the entire lake in loose flocks, as of 12:08. Sun out now. A couple of us got record photos. A very rare event in CT!

I was excited to hear about this little flurry of terns. I didn't have the
time to make a foray to Bantam Lake, but I zipped around to Mudge Pond,
Wononpakook and Wononskopomuc on the wild chance that some terns had wound
up there, but no...

I was excited to hear about this little flurry of terns. I didn't have the time to make a foray to Bantam Lake, but I zipped around to Mudge Pond, Wononpakook and Wononskopomuc on the wild chance that some terns had wound up there, but no...
