There are 26 Arctic Terns, yes 26, yes Arctic, on Bantam Lake, Litchfield/ Morris. Photos were taken.

Actually Fran Zygmont and I both counted 27 ARTIC TERNS on Bantam Lake. They are still flying around the entire lake in loose flocks, as of 12:08. Sun out now. A couple of us got record photos. A very rare event in CT!

I was excited to hear about this little flurry of terns. I didn't have the
time to make a foray to Bantam Lake, but I zipped around to Mudge Pond,
Wononpakook and Wononskopomuc on the wild chance that some terns had wound
up there, but no...

Is it insects or small fish, and could you ID the species?
