cowl vents in the sun

We store Lilliana in Mexico and the PVC cowl vents get cooked in the summer
sun. The surface blisters and turns sticky.  I see that Vetus sells a
silicone cowl vent. Does anyone on the list now if these are immune to
degradation in the sun? Maybe someone cruising in Florida might now this.
Surface temps here get up around 150F in the summer time. We can leave them
covered in aluminum foil but that is only temporary and will blow off in
the annual minor hurricanes.  We already use 303 on these.
