Today, and about 2 weeks ago, Virgina rail(s) were at the water's edge and the bush rushes along the boardwalk at Mer Bleue. Two weeks ago they were at the east end pontoon boardwalk, today there was one to the west of the raised boardwalk over the open water at the western end. They are difficult to spot as they go in and out of the bull rushes. Mer Bleue Boardwalk is at P22 at the eastern end of Ridge Road, off Anderson Road.
