Press release from M.i.Cats in the U.K.:
UK & France. A chance to try a multihull from Fountaine Pajot
'Are two hulls better than one?' This was the big question posed by
Fountaine Pajot at this year's London Boat Show in January. The
world's most experienced catamaran builder was promoting a
pan-European summer regatta of sail and power that would allow
boaters to try a multihull for themselves. With the weather
brightening up, Chichester-based M.i.Cats, the UK's sole importer for
Fountaine Pajot, has confirmed details of two summer open-days.
On June 3 and 4,at Royal Clarence Yard Marina in Gosport, Portsmouth
Harbour, you will be able to sea-trial any of four boats from the
Fountaine Pajot range. For inquisitive sailors the Lavezzi 40 and
Bahia 46 will be on the water demonstrating their superior
sea-keeping and spacious interiors. For motor boaters the new
Cumberland 44 and Maryland 37 will also be available to try out,
showing off their simple manoeuvring and customisable light wood
anniversary interior.
"Traditionally, open-days are a great opportunity for our existing
customers to get together and see new boats, but to open-up these
events all over Europe to anyone that is interested is something that
we have wanted to do for a long time." says Carl Livett, Director of
M.i.Cats. "The boats speak for themselves on the water, so if we can
get a multihull virgin on a sea-trial then its pretty much 'job
done'. The owners are our best ambassadors and new customers
literally don't know what they are missing until they have
experienced a Fountaine Pajot cruising catamaran firsthand."
Spaces on the Fountaine Pajot summer open-days are limited, so
readers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

By the by, when I pass along press releases that I see, I post them
for what they are, publicity releases from power catamaran builders,
dealers and others which represent the viewpoint of those same
builders, dealers and others. The discerning reader may need to apply
a grain of salt.
I post the releases for general information purposes, without any
verification or endorsement, and clearly indicate the source. If you
disagree with the subject matter of a release, or have other
comments, please post a message to the List.
Members of the power-catamaran industry are encouraged to ensure I'm
on their contact list for press releases.
