Do we want to go to the Ft. Lauderdale Ruggerfest on February 19 - 21, 2016?
http://www.ftlruggerfest.com/

Write-up of last year's tourney:
http://www.thisisamericanrugby.com/2015/03/ft-lauderdale-ruggerfest-success.html

We talked about it at the AGM, and Mark Price was very into it. It will
provide good opposition to lead us into the season. There are often
national sides from the Caribbean islands, as well as teams from England.
The Premier Division final match last year pitted the USA Eagles from the
90s-early 00s against the Pumas from that same era. So, the level of play
is what we want in a pre-season excursion. Since it is a domestic
tournament, we don't need to worry about passports and other such issues.
Flights and rooms are pretty inexpensive down there. It's also pretty fun.

All of that said, we weren't able to put together a solid team for Aspen.
If we are going to pull off Ft. Lauderdale, we will need buy-in from the
team, and someone responsible to spearhead it (someone with far more
time/energy to devote to it that I can do right now). The logistics will
need to be handled well in advance.

I'm in with the Quins for this!  I live in Rockledge, Florida, about 2 1/2
hours north of Lauderdale and we can use my place as a staging, jumping
off, or whatever place.  Obviously we would want to be closer to the action
when it's tourney time but if some fly in and out of Orlando or want to
stick around Florida longer,  I'm available to pick up and drop off.

Southwest is running a special flights to Lauderdale and Orlando (about 40
minutes from my house) $134 each way until 9/24.

If there is interest I can take the lead and run with it (aka ...give it to
my wife to take care of)
