(Though, the meditative nature of the exercises may not be ideal for young children) What: The Hidden Jewels project is a multi-sensory brain health and somatic awareness tool created by Maria Jost. It will pair illustrations with recorded meditative exercises. A major goal of the project is to gift 108 Hidden Jewels card sets to individuals or community groups serving individuals in Tacoma / Pierce County who are most impacted by various forms of trauma and who may have barriers to accessing care. The event at Parable will include a brief discussion of the project’s progress and a chance to experience some of the exercises live in a group setting. When: December 15th at 7:00 pm. The doors will open at 6:30 and folks can mingle and browse the curated selection of plants, books, records, and art. Where: Parable, located at 3502 McKinley Ave, Suite A, in Tacoma.
