12:00-3:00pm at Waughop Lake

Please join students and faculty from the University of Washington
Tacoma for an afternoon of hands-on lake science open to the public.  Go
for a boat ride on the lake, learn how limnologists (lake scientists)
monitor water quality, take plankton samples and measure what is
happening in Waughop Lake.  The University of Washington Tacoma is
starting work on a year-long study of the lake as part of a lake
management plan for the City of Lakewood.  Come help us kick off this
project and have some fun on the lake!  All ages welcome!  Contact Jim
Gawel (jimgawel@uw.edu) for more information.

Cheers,
Jim
