I'm just going to throw some gasoline onto this fire.  Once the wind
gets above 25 knots, aircraft carriers close the galley.  (Or did,
back in the day). You hungry, not that anyone is, there's peanut
butter and Wonder Bread.  I went through a typhoon on a C-3 as a
youngster.  Basically, a Victory ship.  No ship is big enough to
comfortably endure anything mother nature can throw at us.  What we
are looking for is a boat that can comfortable endure maybe 40 or 50%
(choose your own percentage, if you like) of what can happen.  The sea
is bigger and stronger than we are, and to draw a line in the sand and
say "I don't have to wait for no stinking weather windows" is asking
for trouble.

I will now relinquish the soapbox, put on my flak jacket and run for cover.
