-->Today May 5th Jenny Bull, Owen Moorhouse Bob Tyler and I birded part of The Islands and at approx. 12:10 this afternoon we spotted a circling flock of 9 TVs over the Snug Harbour Islands (Islands just west of Snake Island) and just ahead of them over Snake Island we spotted a low flying adult Black Vulture that would have gone unidentified as it flew behind us just as we looked up.
It was shielded by trees as it past behind we 3 guys but Jenny’s sharp eyes spotted the white wing tips just as it flew over her Thanks Jenny.
All four us got a couple more good looks as it circled back over us.
The bird flew over second time, and then a third time before it and the TVs mosey one east, all at low tree top height.
The Tufted Titmouse was at the feeders behind the Island Fire Station (West of the Algonquin Island Bridge).
If it is not at those feeders as the Firemen are putting a new garden in, in that area, then I suggest you look for it on Algonquin Island as there are lots of feeders at the houses over there, good luck.
