Directors Meetings / Call for Participation

Vuecrest needs YOU!  We are actively seeking volunteers to host Directors
Meetings on September 5th, October 3rd, and November 7th.  What’s involved?
Glad you asked!! Opening your home for two hours beginning at 7:00 p.m.;
having seating available for 10-15 persons; and, perhaps clearing a table
top for elbows and plan reviews.  That's it! These get-togethers are an
excellent way to remain actively engaged in the Happenings within our
neighborhood, and meet new neighbors.  Remember - ALL Vuecrest homeowners
and residents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Would you be willing to
serve your community?  Please contact anyone on the board at
directors@vuecrest.nethttps://mail.google.com/mail/mu/mp/226/?hr=1&source=nap&hl=en
.

Safety Committee Report

Who hasn’t called to their children,” SLOW DOWN!”….. ? Well, it’s time we
check that face in the mirror and mouth those words to ourselves.  Speeding
in Vuecrest has always been an issue due to the wide streets, leaving the
visual impression that our speed is less than it actually is.  And the
speedometer is a poor representation for our actual travel per second.
Please, consider the following:

Ø  Traveling at 25 mph equates to 36 FEET PER SECOND !

Ø  30 mph is 44 feet per second

**Ø  **60 mph is 88 feet per second

Please, help sensitize less experienced drivers in your household to this
critical issue, and commit to providing a safe neighborhood for our
children and neighbors.  PLEASE……SLOW DOWN!

Summer Projects and Thanks

As you work to beautify your ‘Nest’ over the coming months, remember to
consult the Vuecrest covenants and board review requirements to make sure
your projects and landscape are fully compliant.  The top concerns
identified by neighbors are highlighted below (complete governing documents
can be viewed by clicking on theVuecrest Website
Linkhttp://www.vuecrest.net/resource-center
):

Ø  Trees, hedges, and may not exceed 6 FEET and/or block a protected
view;

Ø  Street side  fences, hedges or walls may not exceed 4 FEET and/or
block a protected view;

Ø  NOISE:  Please preserve the tranquility of the neighborhood by
limiting construction and noisy equipment such as leaf blowers, generators,
power washers, etc.  to Saturdays  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. only.  Sunday
construction is prohibited;

Ø  External paint colors must be submitted for prior approval; and

Ø  Trucks, campers, trailers, boats, or motor homes exceeding 5,000 GVW
are not permitted on property (unless garaged)

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for neighbors who have
recently removed view-blocking trees, opening up beautiful vistas for
fellow Vuecrest homeowners.  It’s support like this that helps keep
Vuecrest a great place to live and maintain neighborly goodwill.  If you
have any questions, please contact the Directors.

Paving Update

The water main and patching work on Vineyard Crest are complete, and crews
will be moving to Hilltop Road next.  Notice from the City will be
delivered to affected residents ahead of the commencement of the next phase.

If you have any ideas for the newsletter or questions please let me or the
Directors know.

Thanks, and enjoy the sunny days approaching!
