Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsWow, Kevin, I don't read it that way.
The article says to me that there is a lawsuite pending in federal court seeking a permanent separation between the [river system] and the lake.
The Supreme Court declined to hear a case asking for additional fish barriers in the rivers, apparently wanting to wait until the lower court rendered a decision on its pending case.
That doesn't seem to say the "Supreme Court just rendered an opinion that will prevent the CLOSURE of the Great Loop. It just says they don't want to get involved until a lower court rules on the separation of the lake and the rivers case.
That's how I read the article.
